Amazon カスタマー 5 I bought a British Army shemagh (made in Pakistan) years ago, and it is very versatile and useful. I wanted another one, but there are many advertised, some very cheap, some made in China, some not 100% cotton. I read a lot of reviews and decided on this one, and I am very happy that I did. I don't know where it is made, but the quality is the same as my first one. There is no smell, apart from new cotton, and the colour does not seem to bleed. (Though it is advisable to wash separately by hand the first time). Please note that this type of woven pattern will sometimes have threads pulled loose if something (zipper, magic tape etc.) catches on them. If you pull the scarf from either side of the loose thread, you will see it return to the weave.
